Please Run:  NOW

Developed by: Mono Co., Inyo Co., & Partners

New ordinances in Mono and Inyo County are in place to address the Golden Mussel danger. Golden Mussels are a new and perilous threat to our waterways because they can thrive at high altitudes and in cold temperatures. They clog pipelines and damage essential water infrastructure. They reduce the plankton that our trout feed on and threaten our fish populations. Water enthusiasts will now be required to have their trailered boats inspected before they launch and we know that won’t be convenient, but it is important to keep our waters free from this devastating species. Help us spread the word about inspections and learn how you can do your part in preventing the spread.
